I had with me a waterskin that I had carried for the Prophet, may God send blessings and peace upon him, to drink from.
إِدَاوَةٌ — a waterskin. An indefinite noun, a waterskin, whose trailing '-un' marks it indefinite and as the thing possessed in the 'I had...' construction set up by 'with me'. It is the subject of that verbless ownership statement. The indefinite tail does the work of English 'a'.
