وَمَعِي إِدَاوَةٌ حَمَلْتُهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْتَوِي مِنْهَا،
I had with me a waterskin that I had carried for the Prophet, may God send blessings and peace upon him, to drink from.
يَرْتَوِي — drink. A present-tense verb stating the waterskin's purpose, 'for him to drink from'. Arabic uses this bare present to express the aim of the thing just mentioned. Its 'he' subject is the Prophet.
