وَعُذْرُ مَنْ نَبَذَ الْوَحْيَيْنِ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ لَا تَنْفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهِ الْمَعَاذِرُ؟
And what excuse will the one who casts the two revelations behind his back have on a day when excuses will not benefit the wrongdoers?
ظَهْرِهِ — his back. A noun with -hi ('his') fused on as owner, 'his back', completing the 'behind his back' phrase and genitive as the owner in that pairing. The 'his' points to the rejecter, locating the discarded revelation out behind the very man who spurned it.

When Luqman came to him, carrying a bundle on his back.
ظَهْرِهِ — his back. A noun with the possessive '-hi' (his), the vowel being '-hi' because the preposition 'on' precedes it. The suffix names whose back is meant, pointing back to Luqman. The whole word is governed by 'on' and sits in the form that preposition imposes.
