How to say “the wrongdoers” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَعُذْرُ مَنْ نَبَذَ الْوَحْيَيْنِ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ لَا تَنْفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهِ الْمَعَاذِرُ؟
And what excuse will the one who casts the two revelations behind his back have on a day when excuses will not benefit the wrongdoers?
الظَّالِمِينَ — the wrongdoers. A sound masculine plural noun, 'the wrongdoers', and the object of 'benefit', whom the excuses fail to help; its ending marks that object role. With 'the', it points to the unjust as a known class. It names exactly whom the day's excuses will not save.
