فَهُوَ خير الصَّحَابَة
For he is the best of the companions.
الصَّحَابَةِ — the companions. A collective noun for the Prophet's Companions taken as a body, serving as the owner in 'best of ___' and so in the genitive. It supplies the 'the' that makes the whole phrase definite.

and to be pleased with all the companions, among other fundamentals of the Sunnah,
الصَّحَابَةِ — the companions. This completes 'all of the companions', in the genitive as the owner — a collective for the Prophet's companions. The 'kull... ' pairing wraps them up as a whole. The owner-noun closes the little chain.
