How to say “content” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
والعاقل من يعمل ليوم المعاد، فيستعد له بالأعمال الصالحة، ليلقى ربه وهو عنه راض
And the wise is the one who works for the Day of Return, preparing for it with righteous deeds, so he meets his Lord and He is pleased with him.
رَاضٍ — pleased. This is the predicate of the 'while He is...' clause, an active participle meaning 'pleased', so it stands in the subject-style case to match the pronoun 'He'. Its weak final letter gives it a special indefinite ending, but its job is to describe God's contentment.
