قَالَ فَأَخَذَنِي فَغَطَّنِي حَتَّى بَلَغَ مِنِّي الْجُهْدُ
He said, "Then he seized me and covered me until I reached the limit of my strength."
فَغَطَّنِي — so he covered me. The fa- continues the chain of actions, and the verb's doubled-consonant pattern adds force, suggesting a hard pressing rather than a light touch; 'me' is again attached as the object. The intensified shape is what conveys the strength of the act.
