الْعَادَةَ — habit. Subject of the clause but accusative under 'that'; the 'the' makes it habit in general.

العَادَةِ — habits. Genitive after 'min' — 'the habit', and head of an adjective pairing with 'empty'. The routine the day is shielded from.

But it has not occurred, nor is it customary, and it is not something people have discussed, either in negation or affirmation.
العَادَةُ — custom. This noun 'the custom/habit' is the delayed subject of 'runs', made definite by 'the', in the plain subject ending. It comes after its verb, the normal verb-then-subject order, naming what is denied to have been habitual.
