How to say “degree” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدْ تَلَقَّاهَا عَنْهُمْ آخَرُونَ هُمْ عَلَى دَرَجَةٍ عَلِيَّةٍ مِنَ الْفَهْمِ وَالْوَعْيِ،
And others received it from them, people of a high degree of understanding and awareness.
دَرَجَةٍ — a degree. An indefinite noun ('a degree/level') in the genitive as the object of 'at', the -in tanween audible. It is the standing the group occupies; an adjective and an 'of' phrase will further specify which degree.
