وَقَدْ تَلَقَّاهَا عَنْهُمْ آخَرُونَ هُمْ عَلَى دَرَجَةٍ عَلِيَّةٍ مِنَ الْفَهْمِ وَالْوَعْيِ،
And others received it from them, people of a high degree of understanding and awareness.
عَلِيَّةٍ — high. An adjective 'high', describing 'degree'. It matches its noun in being indefinite and genitive (audible -in tanween), the way Arabic adjectives copy the case, gender and definiteness of the noun they describe: 'a high degree'.
