How to say “descendants” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ أَبُو طَالِبِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلْنَا مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمِ،
Abu Talib said, "Praise be to God, who made us from the descendants of Abraham."
ذُرِّيَّةِ — descendants. This noun heads an ownership pairing with the name that follows: 'the offspring of Abraham', set side by side with no separate word for 'of'. As the leading noun in that chain it drops any 'the' and takes its definiteness from the owner-name behind it.
