From: The Declaration of Faith →وَكَذَلِكَ مَا شرع للْمُسلمين فِي صلَاتهم وأذانهم وحجهم وأعيادهم من ذكر الله تَعَالَى إِنَّمَا هُوَ بِالْجُمْلَةِ التَّامَّة كَقَوْل الْمُؤَذّن
Likewise, what has been legislated for Muslims in their prayers, calls to prayer, pilgrimage, and festivals, as a remembrance of Allah the Almighty, is indeed in complete sentences like the statement of the caller:
وَأَعْيَادِهِمْ — and their festivals. 'and their festivals', joined by 'wa', genitive, with 'their' attached. Broken plural of ''id'.
From: Small Deeds, Great Reward →أحوال الناس في العيد تشبه أحوالهم يوم القيامة
People's conditions during Eid resemble their conditions on the Day of Judgment.
الْعِيدِ — Eid. The object of 'during', so it stands in the possessive case, with 'the' marking the known festival. It names the occasion during which the conditions appear.
From: Celebration and the Final Hour →ترى الناس في يوم العيد يلبسون الجديد، ويتطيبون، ويخرجون إلى المصلى فرحين مسرورين
You see people on the day of Eid wearing new clothes, perfuming themselves, and going out to the prayer area happy and joyful.
الْعِيدِ — Eid. The completing half of 'day of the festival', so it carries the possessive case and the 'the' that defines the phrase. Set directly beside the time word with no word for 'of', it names which day, the Eid.
