  And You alone we ask for help. He said: This verse divides, between Me and My servant, into two parts; to My servant belongs what he asked. So when he says "Guide us to the Straight Path" until the end of the surah, He said: These belong to My servant, and to My servant belongs what he asked.

  وَلِعَبْدَيْ — and for My servant. The wa- adds the next clause, and the li- it carries means 'and for', joined to a noun with an attached '-My' referring to the servant. The li- assigns the portion to the servant as its owner, and it draws the noun into the genitive, so the phrase reads 'and to My servant belongs...'.
