How to say “God-fearingness” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
لِأَنَّ الْعَاقِبَةَ لِلْتَّقْوَى
Because the ultimate outcome is for piety.
لِلْتَّقْوَى — for piety. A preposition 'for/belonging to' fused to a definite noun 'piety', meaning 'for piety'. It serves as the predicate of the clause, telling whom the outcome belongs to, with no 'is' word needed. It assigns the final outcome to the side of piety.
From: Trust and Piety →إِضَافَةٍ لِمَا أَكْرَمَهُمْ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنَ الْوَرَعِ وَالتَّقْوَى،
In addition to the piety and God-consciousness with which God has honored them,
وَالتَّقْوَى — and the God-consciousness. 'Wa-' joins this to the previous virtue as a second item in the same list, so it too falls under the explicative 'of' and stands in the genitive. With 'al-' it is definite, naming God-consciousness alongside piety.
