Arabic vocabulary
How to say “have you forgotten” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَنَسِيتُمْ مَا قَالَ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Have you forgotten what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, told you?
أَنَسِيتُمْ — have you forgotten. A packed word: a question marker on the front turns it into 'have you...?', and the '-tum' ending fixes a plural 'you' as the doers of a past 'forgot'. One form bundles the asking, the subject and the completed verb into a rhetorical rebuke.
