How to say “his finger” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمَصُّ إِصْبَعَهُ
Abu Hurayrah said: I seem to see the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sucking his finger.
إِصْبَعَهُ — his finger. What is sucked -- his finger -- the object of the verb, with '-hu' (his) attached. The suffix ties the finger to the Prophet of the memory, and the noun's ending marks it as the thing the action lands on.
