Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his flock” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَمَا يَذُودُ الرَّاعِيُ الشَّفِيقُ غَنَمَهُ عَنْ مَرَاتِعِ الْهَلَكَةِ
Just as the compassionate shepherd wards his flock away from pastures of destruction.
غَنَمَهُ — his flock. This noun has -hu, the 'his' possessor, fused to its end, so one word means 'his flock'. It is the thing the verb acts on, the direct object of the warding. Its object-form shape, plus the possessor, marks it as what the shepherd drives to safety.
