How to say “his sermon” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ أَتَى بَعْدَ أَنْ فَرَغَ مِنْ خُطْبَتِهِ بِرَقَائِقٍ مِنَ الْوَعْظِ،
Then indeed he came, after he had finished his sermon, with gentle admonitions.
خُطْبَتِهِ — his sermon. A noun with a 'his' pronoun fused onto its end, forming a possessive in a single word. Because the preposition before it demands the genitive, the noun takes that ending; the attached 'his' points back to the speaker subject mentioned earlier.
