How to say “I narrated” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مَا أَحَدُ مِمَّنِ رَوَيْتُ عَنْهُ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ زَمَانُنَا،
There is no one among those I narrated from who is better than all the people of our time.
رَوَيْتُ — I narrated. A past-tense verb whose ending -tu builds in an 'I' subject, so the speaker is named inside the verb. It is active (the speaker did the narrating) and fills the relative clause 'whom I narrated from'.
