How to say “informer” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَوْلُهُمْ لَيْسَ الْمُخْبِرُ كَالْمُعَايِنِ، مَذْكُورٌ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي
And their saying: 'The informer is not like the observer' is mentioned in His saying: 'But so that my heart will be reassured.'
الْمُخْبِرُ — the informer. This is 'the informer, reporter', definite with 'al-', the subject of the negating verb 'is not'. It takes the nominative as that subject. It names the first of the two figures being contrasted as unequal.
