How to say “joy” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَصِدْقِ مَا أَخْبَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُهُ وَمَا لَمْ يُبَاشِرْ قَلْبُهُ ذَلِكَ حَقِيقَةً لَمْ تُخَالِطْ بَشَاشَةُ الْإِيمَانِ قَلْبَهُ
And the truth of what His Messenger has conveyed — whoever's heart has not experienced that reality, the sweetness of faith has not entered his heart.
بَشَاشَةُ — the joy of. A noun 'sweetness/cheer of' opening an 'of' pairing with the next word, the subject of the negated verb. As the possessed head it carries no 'the' of its own and takes the nominative subject ending.
