ويُستحب ألّا يرفعَ اليدَ عن العضو حتى يتمَّ مسحَه، وأن ينزعَ الخاتمَ في الضربة الأولى،
It is recommended not to lift the hand from the limb until its wiping is completed, and to remove the ring in the first strike.
العُضْوِ — the limb. 'the limb,' in the -i form after 'off' — the body-part being wiped. The hand should stay on it, not lift away, until the wipe is complete (next clause).

However, wiping the impure limb is not valid until its impurity is removed.
العُضْوِ — of the limb. Owner in 'the wiping of the limb,' in the -i form — the body-part wiped. Qualified by 'impure' next: it is specifically the impure limb whose wipe fails.
