How to say “mention” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فيقول عيسى إن ربي غضب اليوم غضباً لم يغضب قبله مثله، ولن يغضب بعده مثله ولم يذكر ذنباً،
Then Jesus will say, "My Lord was angry today with an anger like none before it, and none like it will be after it, and he did not mention any sin."
يَذْكُرْ — mention. A present-shaped verb forced by the preceding negator into a past-negative with a shortened ending, the 'he' subject inside; so 'he did not mention'. Negator plus this form is how Arabic says it.
