How to say “pleasure” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
من خلق فِيهِ قُوَّة واستعداد لشَيْء كَانَت لذته فِي اسْتِعْمَال تِلْكَ الْقُوَّة فِيهِ
For the one created with strength and readiness for something, their pleasure is in using that strength for it.
لَذَّتُهُ — his pleasure. 'Pleasure / delight' with '-hu' (his) attached, the subject of 'was', nominative — what gives him joy. The suffix points to that person.

And the joy of one created with strength and readiness for intercourse is in exercising his strength in it.
فَلَذَّةُ — And the joy. 'Fa-' (so / and) plus 'pleasure / joy', first term of an 'of' pairing — 'the joy of whoever…' — the topic, nominative. It owns the relative that follows.

And those created with the power for eating and drinking experience pleasure by exercising their strength in them.

And for those created with the power of love for Allah, and returning to Him, and devotion to Him with the heart, and longing for Him, and intimacy with Him, their pleasure and bliss is in using this strength for those purposes.
فَلَذَّتُهُ — his pleasure. 'Fa-' (then) plus 'pleasure' with '-hu' (his) attached, the topic of the result-clause, nominative — 'then his joy [is]…'. The 'fa-' answers the long condition.

And all pleasures other than this pleasure are fleeting and perishable.
اللَّذَّةِ — pleasure. 'Pleasure', genitive after 'besides', definite, paired with 'this'. The one delight set apart from the rest.

لَذَّةٍ — pleasure. The noun governed by 'in', in that preposition's form, its bare ending marking it indefinite: 'a pleasure'. It is the thing being judged to hold no good.

How many a pleasure has a person gained in an hour, which then became a cause of his eternal misery!
لَذَّةٍ — pleasure. The noun governed by the partitive 'of', in that form, its bare ending marking it indefinite: a single pleasure standing for the many. It is the thing being marveled at.

So the wise person does not look at the sweetness of the pleasure and its delight, but rather looks at what it leads to.
اللَّذَّةِ — the pleasure. The owning noun closing the 'sweetness of the pleasure' pair. Its 'the' makes the phrase definite, naming the pleasure as what that sweetness belongs to.

Similarly, the wise person refrains from the pleasures of sins fearing the torment of the Hereafter, and bears the bitterness of obedience hoping for the reward of Allah Almighty.
لَذَّاتِ — the pleasures of. This noun opens a possessive pair, 'pleasures of sins', linked straight to its owner with no word for 'of'. Governed by the preceding 'from', it sits in that form.
