How to say “relief” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَصْرُ طُولِ النَّهَى، وَلَوْ فَكَّكَهَا بِالِانْتِقَالِ مِنْ حَالٍ إِلَى حَالٍ لَتَنَفُّسٌ عَنْهَا ضِيقُ العُقْدَةِ،
He shortened the duration of his restraint; had he loosened it by shifting from one state to another, relief from the tightness of the knot would have followed.
لَتَنَفُّسٌ — indeed a relief. A front emphatic 'la-', the 'surely / indeed' marker that introduces the result of the counterfactual, fused onto a noun built from a verb ('a breathing, relief'). The la- stamps the outcome as the emphatic answer to the earlier 'had he...' clause.
