How to say “reverence” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْهَا لِبَاسٌ يُعْرَفُونَ بِهِ مِنَ السَّكِينَةِ وَالْخُشُوعِ،
Upon them from it is a garment by which they are known for calmness and reverence.
وَالْخُشُوعِ — and reverence. The wa- on the front is 'and', joining a second quality to the first under the same 'from the' preposition, and the noun carries 'the'. So this word coordinates 'reverence' with 'calmness', both governed and both in the governed form. The two together make up the garment's substance.
