قَالَ تَعَالَىٰ ﴿فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ﴾
Allah, the Exalted, said: "So be patient; indeed, the promise of Allah is true, and seek forgiveness for your sin."
وَاسْتَغْفِرْ — and seek forgiveness. A linking 'and' bound to a command-form verb 'seek forgiveness', joining a second imperative to 'be patient'. The verb is a derived intensive-pattern command, and the 'and' simply yokes the two orders together.
