وإن زللتَ فـأستغفرُ الله معناها طلبُ سترِ الذنب مع عزمٍ على إصلاحه؛ فالاستغفارُ بلا تصحيحٍ مجرّدُ صوت
And if you slip, 'I seek forgiveness from Allah' means asking for the concealing of the sin with a resolve to correct it; seeking forgiveness without correction is merely sound.
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ — I seek forgiveness from God. 'I seek Allah's forgiveness' — a complete clause: 'astaghfir' (I ask forgiveness, with 'I' inside the verb and the 'seek the X' form) plus 'Allah' as its direct object in the accusative. The One asked is taken straight as object, no preposition.
