How to say “correct” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وإن زللتَ فـأستغفرُ الله معناها طلبُ سترِ الذنب مع عزمٍ على إصلاحه؛ فالاستغفارُ بلا تصحيحٍ مجرّدُ صوت
And if you slip, 'I seek forgiveness from Allah' means asking for the concealing of the sin with a resolve to correct it; seeking forgiveness without correction is merely sound.
إِصْلَاحِهِ — correct it. 'putting it right' — a verbal noun with 'it' attached, genitive after 'ala'. The 'it' points to the sin: resolve to set right what one did.

And if you preserve it, along with correcting the periods before and after as I mentioned, you succeed and attain comfort, pleasure, and bliss.
إِصْلَاحِ — correcting. A Form IV action-noun, 'the setting-right', in the genitive after 'with', and itself heading an 'of' pairing. So 'along with the mending of the two periods', the inner work extended to past and future.
