وإن زللتَ فـأستغفرُ الله معناها طلبُ سترِ الذنب مع عزمٍ على إصلاحه؛ فالاستغفارُ بلا تصحيحٍ مجرّدُ صوت
And if you slip, 'I seek forgiveness from Allah' means asking for the concealing of the sin with a resolve to correct it; seeking forgiveness without correction is merely sound.
زَلِلْتَ — you slip. Past 'you slipped', with '-ta' marking 'you' (one male). In a conditional it reads as present-future — 'if you slip'. The doubled root letters belong to the 'zalla' (slip) verb.

زَلَّ — slipping. A past-tense verb 'slipped / erred', subject 'he' inside — what he did not do. He never slipped.
