Arabic vocabulary
How to say “seeker of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَمَّا كَانَ طَالِبُ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ طَالِبَ أَمْرٍ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ نَاكِبُونَ عَنْهُ،
And when the seeker of the straight path was a seeker of a matter from which most people turn away,
طَالِبَ — a seeker of. A second use of 'seeker', this time the predicate of 'was', so 'the seeker was a seeker of...'; its accusative ending marks that predicate role after the 'to be' verb. It heads a fresh possessive pair with the following noun, restating his pursuit to build to the point.
