How to say “the path” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَمَّا كَانَ طَالِبُ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ طَالِبَ أَمْرٍ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ نَاكِبُونَ عَنْهُ،
And when the seeker of the straight path was a seeker of a matter from which most people turn away,
الْصِّرَاطِ — the path. A definite noun completing the 'of' pair, 'the seeker of the path', genitive as the owner. The side-by-side nouns carry the possession with no 'of'. It also bears the adjective that follows, so the path is further specified as straight.
