We found the scholars, may Allah have mercy on them, differed regarding them. It was said they are seven, citing the Prophet's saying: 'Avoid the seven destructive sins'.
الْمُوبِقَاتِ — destructive sins. A noun with 'the', 'the destructive (sins)', describing or specifying the seven just named. Held in the object form alongside them, it tells what kind of seven are meant.
