How to say “something hidden” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي قَدْ خَبَأْتُ لَكَ خَبِيئًا
Then the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "I have hidden something for you."
خَبِيئًا — something hidden. An indefinite noun serving as the thing hidden, the object of the verb. With no 'the', it presents the hidden item as something unspecified and as yet unknown to the listener, which suits a guessing game.
