How to say “sow” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَسَقَطَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ عِنْدَ الْحَصَادِ لَمَّا عَايَنُوا غَلَّةَ مَا بَذَرُوهُ
And it fell into their hands at the harvest, when they saw the yield of what they had sown.
بَذَرُوهُ — they had sown it. A past-tense verb, 'they had sown it', with the -u 'they' ending and the object -hu ('it') fused on. It fills out the relative clause naming what they planted, the 'it' pointing back to the deeds. Subject, verb and object sit in one word.
