Arabic vocabulary
How to say “yield” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَسَقَطَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ عِنْدَ الْحَصَادِ لَمَّا عَايَنُوا غَلَّةَ مَا بَذَرُوهُ
And it fell into their hands at the harvest, when they saw the yield of what they had sown.
غَلَّةَ — the yield. A noun heading a possessive pair, 'the yield OF what they sowed', and the direct object of 'they saw'; its ending marks that object role. As the front member it binds straight to the following relative word, with no word for 'of', and leans on it for definiteness.
