إلا أنك شكوتَ من إطالته بالأحاديث المسندة التي لا تليق به وبكلامٍ عن بعض المذكورين كثير قليل الفائدة،

تَلِيقُ — are suitable. A present-tense verb, 'they are fitting / suitable', with its subject built in. Under the 'not' before it the clause reads 'do not suit', describing the chained reports as out of place.
