Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they saw them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَرَأَوْهُمْ نَاسٌ مِنْ حَرَسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Then men from the guard of the Messenger of God saw them.
فَرَأَوْهُمْ — then they saw them. Three things in one word: the prefix fa- ('then'), a past verb 'saw' carrying its 'they' subject inside, and the object suffix -hum ('them'). So a single Arabic word says 'then they saw them'; the fa- marks the next event, and -hum refers to the captured men.
