  يَقْتُلُونَ — take the life. A present-tense verb 'kill' with a built-in third-person plural 'they'. It is negated by the preceding 'nor', giving 'nor do they kill'. The plural ending supplies the subject, and the verb governs the object 'the life' that follows.
