وَكَمْ مِنْ كَلِمَةٍ تَدُورُ عَلَى الْأَلْسِنِ مَثَلًا جَاءَ الْقُرْآنُ بِالْخَصِّ مِنْهَا وَأَحْسَنَ

كَلِمَةٍ — word. This is 'word, saying', singular and indefinite, the thing counted by 'how many'. Arabic uses the singular after this construction even though the sense is plural, and the noun takes the genitive because the preposition before it governs it. It names what there is a great deal of.
