فيأمرهم بعبادة الأوثان،
He will command them to worship idols.
بِعِبَادَةِ — to worship. This is 'with / to' plus 'worship' — the verb 'command' takes its content through this 'bi-': 'command them TO worship'. It heads a possessive 'worship OF the idols' and governs the genitive.
From: The Return of Jesus →كَمَا قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا
As Allah, the Exalted, said: 'So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him do righteous work and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord.'
بِعِبَادَةِ — in the worship. The front prefix is a 'with/in' preposition forcing the noun into the (genitive) form and heading an 'X of Y' chain, 'in the worship of his Lord'. It marks the sphere in which one must not associate anyone.
From: The Hidden Idolatry →وَالْعِبَادَة هِيَ الْغَايَة الَّتِي خلق الله لَهَا الْعباد من جِهَة أَمر الله ومحبته وَرضَاهُ
And worship is the goal for which Allah created the servants, concerning His command, love, and approval.
وَالْعِبَادَةُ — and the worship. The 'and' prefix opens a new statement, and the noun carries 'the' so it is definite. Its ending marks it as the subject that the rest of the sentence defines, naming worship as the topic being explained.
From: Worship and Repentance →فالحب الخلي عَن ذل والذل الخلي عَن حب لَا يكون عبَادَة
For love devoid of humility and humility devoid of love is not worship.
عِبَادَةً — worship. This noun is indefinite and its ending marks it as the complement of the being-verb, the thing the subject is said not to be. After 'becomes/is', Arabic puts this describing noun into the accusative, which is why its ending differs from a plain subject.
From: Worship and Repentance →وَإِنَّمَا الْعِبَادَة مَا يجمع كَمَال الْأَمريْنِ
Rather, worship is what combines the completion of both matters.
الْعِبَادَةُ — the worship. This noun carries 'the' and stands as the subject of the restriction. Its plain subject ending marks it as the thing being exclusively defined in the 'worship is only...' frame.
From: Worship and Repentance →وَلِهَذَا كَانَت الْعِبَادَة لَا تصلح إِلَّا لله
And for this reason, worship is suitable for none but Allah.
الْعِبَادَةُ — worship. This noun carries 'the' and serves as the subject of the being-verb, with its plain subject ending. After the kana-type verb, the subject keeps this nominative ending while the description that follows takes a different one.
From: Worship and Repentance →والتوكل والاستعانة للْعَبد لِأَنَّهُ هُوَ الْوَسِيلَة وَالطَّرِيق الَّذِي ينَال بِهِ مَقْصُوده ومطلوبه من الْعِبَادَة
And reliance and seeking help are for the servant because they are the means and the path through which he attains his goals and desires in worship.
الْعِبَادَةِ — the worship. This noun carries 'the' and sits in the genitive because the preposition before it governs it. It names worship as the domain the servant's goals belong to, closing the phrase.
From: Worship and Repentance →فَدِينُ اللَّهِ عِبَادَتُهُ وَطَاعَتُهُ وَالخُضُوعُ لَهُ

عِبَادَتُهُ — his worship. A noun 'His worship' with 'His' attached, serving as the predicate that the subject equals. The suffix points to God, and the noun states what the religion of God consists of, with no verb 'is'.
From: Faith and Worship →وَأَمَّا الْعِبَادَةُ وَمَا يُنَاسِبُهَا مِنَ التَّوَكُّلِ وَالْخَوْفِ وَنَحْوِ ذَلِكَ
As for worship and what suits it, such as trust in God, fear of God, and the like.
الْعِبَادَةُ — the worship. The al- makes this 'the worship' a specific, defined topic, and it stands as the subject lifted by the 'as for' before it. Its prominence marks it as the theme the rest of the sentence will pronounce a rule about.
