قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ﴿قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ
Allah the Exalted said: Say, if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, and your wives
آبَاؤُكُمْ — your fathers. This is a plural noun, 'fathers', with a tail -kum, 'your (plural)', attached as possessor. The suffix binds ownership directly onto the noun, addressing the audience, and the word stands as part of the list being weighed against love of God.
