How to say “your wives” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ﴿قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ
Allah the Exalted said: Say, if your fathers, your sons, your brothers, and your wives
وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ — and your wives. The wa- joins another item and the -kum tail again supplies 'your' as possessor of this plural noun. It continues the parallel list, each noun framed as belonging to the audience, accumulating the things that might rival devotion to God.
