Arabic vocabulary
How to say “are corrupt” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِذا طَابَ الْملك طابت جُنُوده وَإِذا خبث خبثت جُنُوده
If the king is sound, the soldiers are sound, and if it is corrupt, the soldiers are corrupt.
خَبُثَتْ — are corrupt. Past-form verb, 'they become foul', the answer-half, taking feminine agreement to match the non-human plural 'soldiers'. The shift mirrors the earlier good-case clause exactly.
