How to say “are well” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِذا طَابَ الْملك طابت جُنُوده وَإِذا خبث خبثت جُنُوده
If the king is sound, the soldiers are sound, and if it is corrupt, the soldiers are corrupt.
طَابَتْ — are sound. Past-form verb, 'they are good/sound', the answer-half of the condition. Its feminine ending agrees with the non-human plural 'soldiers' that follows, the pattern where Arabic treats a plural of things as grammatically feminine singular.
