فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ مَنْ يَتَّقِ وَيَصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
He said: Indeed, whoever is conscious of God and is patient, Allah does not let the reward of the doers of good be lost.
وَيَصْبِرْ — and is patient. wa- coordinates a second condition-verb ('and is patient'), also clipped into the conditional mood to match the first. The conjunction parallels the two acts that together meet the condition.

And Joseph said, "Indeed, whoever is God-conscious and patient, then indeed God will not let the reward of the doers of good be lost."
وَيَصْبِرْ — and he is patient. A linking 'and' bound to a present verb 'is patient', parallel to the previous condition and likewise clipped into the jussive shape by the 'whoever' frame. The 'and' yokes the two qualifications together.
