So that the seeker of guidance and follower of the path may be freed from the fear of being singled out from his contemporaries and peers.
وَسُلُوكِ — and following. The leading wa- adds a second thing the seeker pursues, joining 'following' alongside 'guidance', so it links two objects of the same seeking rather than two sentences. The noun it carries is a verbal noun (the act of 'travelling/following') and it heads an 'of' pairing with the path named next. The connector keeps both pursuits parallel under the one seeker.
