Arabic vocabulary
How to say “bring about” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَجِهَادٌ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ﴾
And striving in His cause, so wait until Allah brings about by His command.
يَأْتِيَ — he brings about. Because 'until' governs it, this verb wears the subjunctive ending, signaling the bringing-about is the awaited aim, not a present event. The altered ending is how Arabic marks an action as the goal a preceding 'until' points toward.
From: Faith and Worship →فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ لِسَاعَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا
So she sent word to him asking him to come at a certain hour.
أئت — he come. A verb read here as 'that he come', in the subjunctive shape triggered by the 'that' before it. It is the content of her message, the action she requested, with the changed ending showing the particle's grip.
