How to say “camels” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقُلْتُ لَهُ كُلُّ مَا تَرَى مِنَ أَجْرِكَ مِنَ الإِبِلِ وَالْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ وَالرَّقِيقِ
So I said to him, "Take all that you see of your pay from the camels, the cattle, the sheep, and the slaves."
الإِبِلِ — the camels. A definite plural noun with 'the', a group-word for camels formed by an internal reshaping rather than an ending. Its genitive ending comes from the 'of' before it, marking it as the first item in the itemized pay.
