How to say “children” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
بَلْ كَيْفَ يَلِيقُ بِهِ أَنْ يُؤَيِّدَهُ وَيَنْصُرَهُ وَيُعْلِيَهُ وَيُظْهِرَهُ وَيُظْفِرَهُ بِأَهْلِ الْحَقِّ يَسْفِكُ دِمَاءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَبِيحُ أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَأَوْلَادَهُمْ وَنِسَاءَهُمْ قَائِلًا
Rather, how can it befit Him to support, aid, exalt, manifest, and empower him over the people of truth while he sheds their blood, justifying their wealth, children, and women, claiming:
وَأَوْلَادَهُمْ — their children. This joins 'and' to 'their children' plus an attached 'their', a second object of 'deems lawful', in the object ending. The attached owner again points to the people of truth, stacking what is wrongly made permissible.
From: Proof of the True Messenger →يسفك دماءهم ويستبيح أموالهم وأولادهم ونساءهم
He sheds their blood and violates their wealth, children, and women.
وَأَوْلَادَهُمْ — their children. A coordinated accusative object, their children, again with the plural possessor attached pointing to the same group. One verb governing a string of objects lets wealth, children, and women all be its accusatives.
